Andy Ellis

Andy founded Practico in 2011 and has played a leading role in shaping its approach to costs strategy, client service, and complex disputes. After steering Practico’s successful transition to employee ownership in September 2024, Andy has stepped back from practising as a Costs Lawyer. Andy now focuses on the leadership of the business, senior client relationships, and strategic advisory work. He brings deep experience in costs litigation and ADR, working closely with joint Operations Directors and Costs Lawyers, Ed Marrow and Francesca Ellis, and further supported by our talented team of regulated Costs Lawyers and associated professionals. Andy remains actively involved in supporting clients at a strategic level, particularly on high-value and sensitive matters, ensuring that advice is aligned with wider litigation and commercial objectives.
